Who Are The Artists Exhibiting At The Water Colour Revolution Event?
Matt Chahal, Peter Haslam Fox, Fay Ballard, Andy Wood, Julia Farrar and Denis Ryan are the invited artists for the Winsor & Newton Water Colour Revolution Event. They are some of the UK’s most talented water colour artists who focus on landscape, portraiture, illustration, abstract art and realism. Their art shows the growing potential of water colour as a medium.
Andy Wood is the current President of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and is a member of the Royal Society of British Artists. He exhibits regularly at the Mall Galleries and his work can be found in public and private collections worldwide.
Denis Ryan’s career began in film animation and illustration. He now concentrates on his fine arts practice creating water colour and acrylic photo realist paintings of the urban environment. His current series of neon signs are mesmerising.
Matt Chahal splits his time between fine art and tattoo design. Using liquid colour and ink his work is clearly influenced by both mehndi design and tattoo imagery.
Winsor and Newton’s diverse choice of artists show the versatility of water colour and the growing appreciation of it as a classic yet contemporary choice for the modern artist.
