Enter the Columbia Threadneedle Prize: Figurative Art Today and this could be yours. The Threadneedle Prize winner 2015 will receive £20,000, a solo exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London as well as a group show at the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. Five further shortlisted artists will each receive £1,000 and a Visitor’s Choice Award of £10,000 will also be given to an artist selected by the visiting public during the exhibition.
The Columbia Threadneedle Prize offers a platform for emerging representational and figurative artists and proves how stimulating work in this genre is today.
Tina Jenkins won the Threadneedle Prize 2014 for her mixed media work “Bed Head”. The judges found her work immediately striking and loved her bold take on the human form.
The Columbia Threadneedle Prize is the UK’s leading open competition for representational and figurative work. The addition of a second exhibition opportunity in Italy makes this art prize even more valuable offering artists even more exposure.

What You Need To Know To Enter The Threadneedle Prize
Artists of an nationality can apply to the Threadneedle Prize as long as they are 18 or over on 1 January 2015 and currently living or working in the UK or Europe.
The Threadneedle Prize : Figurative Art Today accepts paintings, drawings, sculpture, mixed media, original prints and small installations. The Prize is looking for fresh perspectives on figurative and representational art.
