What & Where Are Wimbledon Art Studios?

Having an Art Studio can be a very import step for an artist.  A Studio provides you with an area to work in and can make you become part of the art community.

Wimbledon Art Studios is one of the largest creative art studio complexes in London.  The Studios are situated at 10 Riverside Yard, Riverside Road, Wimbledon, London, SW17 0BB.  They are based on Garratt Business Park Industrial Estate, Garratt Lane.  If you need to travel to Wimbledon Art Studios by train, use either Earlsfield overground railway station or Tooting Broadway underground station.

Wimbledon Art Studios consist of two buildings, ‘The Red Studio‘ & ‘The Blue Studio‘.  The Red Studio contains 173 studio spaces over three floors.  The Blue Studio has 54 studio spaces across 4 floors.  That means that in total, Wimbledon Art Studios has 230 affordable art spaces for artists to rent.

What Are The Wimbledon Open Art Shows?

Wimbledon Art Studios hold two Open Studio Art Shows a year which attract thousands of buyers.  These Shows provide artists with exposure to galleries & art collectors.  Wimbledon Art Studios are more than just a workspace!

Wimbledon Open Art Shows is when the doors get open to the public.  Artists that rent a studio can invite the public in to view and buy their and other artists artwork, commission free!  These Open Art Shows are very popular (over 4,400 visitors at the last show) due to the large number of studios and the variety of media.  Artists at the studios produce work across almost every discipline including painting, ceramics, weaving, photography, furniture making, textile design & sculpture.
