Fusion Arts Studios

Who Are Fusion Arts?

FusionARTS have been providing affordable studio space since January 2005.  Fusion Arts was founded by Janie Harland in 2005 and has since become a registered charity.  The studios are now used by a variety of artists and arts practitioners.

Kingston upon Thames is a centre of arts education, with Kingston University and Kingston College on the doorstep and a large number of practising artists resident in the area, yet there had been no workspace previously available.  The response from the local artistic community was very positive and proved that the need and want for studio space was there.

After being offered 53 Eden Street Fusion Arts was formed.  Support came from the Arts Council England, the Royal Borough of Kingston and Kingston University who initially ran the MA Art and Space course from the large studio building.

Fusion Arts have built strong relationships within the borough and work closely with other art groups such as Kingston Artists Open Studios.  The studio space is often used for art meetings and art tuition.  A large studio space is available for day hire and is suitable for art, exercise and drama classes.

It is extremely rare to find affordable studio space in the centre of town and Fusion Arts have succeeded in creating a thriving creative community slap bang in the centre of Kingston.
